I took my boys to experience some culture.

Not something we do very often and I thought it might actually interest if not excite them.  A bit like visiting their Great Aunt Vera.

(pretty sure Ive served them at the RSL)

I prepared them early, told them what we were doing.  It didn't go down well.  Like a stab in the chest even!

First born was quite disturbed by the words Art and Gallery.  Until he heard there would be naked body parts... even penis's!  That got his attention.

Twelve year olds are obsessed with body parts and bodily functions.  The only thing that could have made this any funnier would be if the naked bum farted!!  Sadly (Gladly) it did not...  but he got an eye full of the body parts.

A little larger than he had anticipated.....

There were a few scary moments...

Where we had to pinch to see if they were real or not.

But all in all we had a lovely day pretending we were bohemian types that appreciated fine art and of course naked bums!!!  (hehehehe)

(why does noone wear clothes in Ron Muecks world?)

I recommend a visit to see his work...  Its quite amazing....

Even if they did prefer the sillier stuff...  Well I tried didnt I
