I am taking a road trip tomorrow. Going way out west with a best girlfriend. I haven't seen her in a while so am looking forward to the hours riding shotgun just talking about everything and nothing... and then of course there's the no talking at all, which thankfully is more than acceptable with your best girlfriend!
We are going to see her in-laws, which also happen to be my ex in laws. I haven't seen them in a looooooong time.
There were many nights spent at their house with the 3 boys and the girlfriends, eating amazing home cooking and drinking around the kitchen table.
I loved those days. Things seemed so much simpler then. Before adulthood took hold and responsibility came more important than just hanging out.
Id give anything to go back for a little while and do it all again. Oh hang on, I am ... tomorrow!! :)
